ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY TESTING AND THE "CE" MARK

The European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) has issued directives regarding products to be marketed in the European Union (EU).

Effective January 1, 1996, most products entering the EU must have the "CE" Marking. To qualify, the manufacturer's product must meet guidelines regarding emissions (EMI) and immunity (EMC) as well as meeting the safety standards outlined in the Low Voltage Directive. Sifting through the EU requirements and finding the product specific standards can be a major undertaking for manufacturers. Let us worry about that for you. If you are just in the design phase or are ready to test a call toEMC TESTING LABORATORIES, INC. will insure your products meet the latest requirements.

Once the product meets the CENELEC Standards requirements, a Declaration of Conformity, (DOC) can be issued and the "CE" Marking, required for access to EU Countries, may legally be used on the product.

EMC TESTING LABORATORIES, INC. understands the importance of expediency in bringing a product to market. We Specialize in helping manufacturers in achieving compliance and obtain their Declaration of Conformity in a timely, cost-efficient manner.
